I got to photograph Derek for his senior portraits last week and for some of the time he wore his soccer goalie uniform. Derek’s team competed at the state level this past spring and Derek is honing his goalie skills at several soccer camps this summer in preparation for next year. All the best to you, Derek!
Meet Sara, a soon to be senior at MOC FV high school. When Sara arrived for her session, one of the first things she showed me was a few discs of her favorite music. We put one in and cranked up the volume as we shot in studio. Sara had just been to a spiritual retreat and we played some of the praise songs from that. Awesome! I always play music during senior sessions and love it when a senior brings their own music along! One thing Sara is looking forward to her senior year is her school’s band performing at the Tournament of Roses parade in Pasadena California. The Pride of the Dutchmen band has marched all over the country and won numerous awards. What a fun thing to be a part of! The slideshow below highlights some of my favorite images from Sara’s session. Be sure to leave a comment below to let Sara know you stopped by to enjoy her senior portraits!
Last week I had the honor of creating senior portraits for Jordan. He is a talented mathematician as well as musician. Both his Mom and Dad were able to come along to the senior session which made for a very enjoyable and memorable time! I hope you enjoy these images, some of my favorites from the session.
We had a beautiful evening last week for Paige’s senior session. Paige will be a senior at MOC-FV high school this fall. She told me she would like to go into healthcare of some sort and with her sweet disposition and cheerful smile I think that would suit her well. If you check out my favorites from Paige’s session by clicking the play triangle below, you will notice one of the images was shot in a patch of yellow flowers. These flowers are growing wild along many highways this time of year. If anyone knows the name of these flowers, please let me know in the comments. I think they are so beautiful!! Also, if you like these pictures of Paige, please either click “like on facebook” or leave a comment below! Thanks for taking a look!
I was so tickled to be asked to photograph Miss Ava on the occasion of her completing her home education through eighth grade. I just love celebrating this stage of childhood and entering-into-young-ladyhood! What a perfect way to commemorate this time of life! We wanted to have the portraits be classic as well as fun, and I think we achieved that with the classic colors, but fun patterns and pop of color.
The very special gift in these portraits is the string of pearls Ava is wearing with the black dress. Being home schooled Ava had some extra time in the day and regularly visited, and became friends with a resident of the retirement home next door to her house. When the friend recently passed away at over 100 years old, her strand of pearls was given to Ava. A reminder of the pearls of wisdom passed from someone very old to someone very young.
