Boden and his Mommy came over a few days ago to commemorate his one year birthday. Was an adorable little guy he is and I am so glad he was a part of the Baby’s First Year plan. I will soon post some of the three image composites that his family can choose from. It is a framed and matted pice that has three 8×8 images in it…one from each session…newborn, sitting up, and one year. Enjoy this handsome little guy!
I am back in the blogging world, believe it or not! It has been such a very long time, to the tune of one and a half years, that I wasn’t sure about starting up again. I do love blogging because of it’s accessibility to anyone. But I got out of the habit because I am not a natural born writer and that part did not come easily for me. I have been running session favorites on facebook only during my blogging absence. But I realize not everyone is on facebook, and with all the fun and changing options for blogs that are now available, I have decided to jump in once again. It will be mostly images, along with a few comments about each session. Maybe some personal and random things too, here and there.
I would love for you to leave a comment if you enjoyed viewing the images, or have something else to say. You can now “like” my blog posts on facebook, as well as (very soon) pin images to Pinterest.
I appreciate your patience as I tweak the appearance and content of this blogsite. Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
That is what people sometimes say after visiting the Panache Interiors Design Studio. Actually, the secret is out! While the Design Studio has been open for a couple years, they have recently joined the Orange City Chamber of Commerce and had their ribbon cutting ceremony a few days ago. To celebrate, they are having an open house and sale THIS WEEKEND! Open house hours are today (Thursday) from 10am-8pm, tomorrow (Friday) from 10am-3pm, and Saturday from 10am-3pm.
I had the opportunity to take some pictures for the staff (my dear friends) there and wanted to share a few pictures of their friendly faces as well as a bit of the tastefully decorated, artfully arranged, beautifully appointed goodness of the Design Studio with you! Enjoy!
Patti is the owner and is displaying some of the window treatment options she offers.
Shanelle, who does floral and interior design looks through one of the many wall covering sample books.
Brenda takes care of the bookkeeping end of things!
Mary recently joined the team and helps with buying gift and jewelry lines and managing the store.
Be sure to make a quick stop by the Design Studio this weekend. They are located three miles North of Orange City, and then 3/4 mile West. You’ll be glad you did….promise!
…got married in Des Moines last Saturday! It was a wonderful weekend in so many ways and I am anxious to share some images from Kelsey and Kley’s big day!
Kelsey’s mother Karen received a pearl necklace from her husband Wade the day Kelsey was born. Karen gifted it to Kelsey on her wedding day. Wow. Loved that.

Kley at the bottom of the stairs as he waited to go upstairs for his and Kelsey’s first meeting.
Glowing bride if I ever saw one!
At the Des Moines Art Center.
The reception was held at the beautiful Des Moines Golf and Country Club. Gorgeous cake by Lovejoy’s Cake Shoppe.
Kelsey and Kley: Thanks so much for inviting me to capture the images documenting your wedding day! It was an honor! I hope you are having a relaxing time in Puerto Vallarta!
It was such a great pleasure meeting Baby Asher a couple weeks ago. Only nine days old for his first portrait taking, it was so nice getting to know him, along with his big brother and parents!
Asher’s family moved to the area just a few weeks ago, and I was so impressed Lindsay took the time for a newborn session amidst the craziness of moving and having just given birth. That newborn “look” changes oh so fast….so I am glad we were able to capture this fleeting time forever!
These are some of my favorites from the session….I hope you enjoy! 🙂
Brothers…..friends. Especially when Asher gets old enough to play!
Those eyes just melt me! 🙂
Asher didn’t want to miss the party and stayed awake most of the session, but finally gave up toward the end, allowing us to get some precious images of him sleeping.
